Brief description

Definitely not your typical girl...

Who am I?

I'm a Sacramento-area transplant who found her way down south to the beaches about four years ago and never left. After bouncing around San Diego for a couple years I ended up in Long Beach. For the past two years I've been going to school covering the Long Beach State Dirtbags.

I've been working in sports since I was about 15 when I started interning for my dad's golf radio show. After an injury permanently sidelined me from cheerleading and tumbling I began writing. My career hasn't exactly been typical; my first sports writing experience came when I was just 19 at an LPGA tournament doing editorial for the tournament website. After that I pretty much threw myself into it with all I had and I'm still doing so today.

Interests

baseball in general and being a student of the game, gymnastics and volleyball. I'd have to say that really my only interests outside of sports would be fashion and maybe political, I'm pretty random..., the Chargers, the Oakland A's and Billy Beane's way of life, The Sacramento Kings, the San Diego Padres, the San Francisco Giants

Main Skills

and for web packages I use Dreamweaver. I also am familiar with Quark but have much more experience in InDesign. I do audio edit, I'm a pretty creative writer with an eye for design - print and web - and love coming up with creative packages for both print a, I'm good under pressure and some of my best writing is done on a tight deadline. For design I use the Adobe Suite, InDesign and Illustrator, mainly Photoshop
